DISCLAIMER

This program is furnished on an AS IS basis as a demonstration of NeWS applications programming.

SYNOPSIS

lunar

DESCRIPTION

Lunar is the programming example from the C Client Programming chapter of the NeWS Programmer’s Guide.  It is intended only to demonstrate some of the basic techniques of client/server communications used in NeWS programming.

CAVEATS

This program is intended to be a short example of very basic NeWS programming and client communications.  As such, it is not a particularly good example of the capabilities of NeWS.  Most actual NeWS programming is done using TNT (The NeWS Toolkit), which is layered on top of the mechanisms presented here.
