     CEDIT(6D) CEDIT(6D)

     NAME
cedit - edit colors on the screen

     SYNOPSIS
          /usr/demos/bin/cedit

     DESCRIPTION
The frame buffer of the IRIS contains values which are
translated into RGB values by a color map. cedit changes
the mapping of any color index. Three sliders are
displayed, along with a sample patch of the color being
edited. A click of the left button outside the screen area
of cedit picks up a color index to be edited. The sliders
indicate the red, green, and blue components of the current
color. The color can be changed by clicking down on a slid-
er, and adjusting the position of the control. Under each
slider control is a number representing the current value of
that color component. The number ranges from 0 (for least
intensity) to 255 (for most intensity). Under the color
patch is a number that represents the current color index.

     BUGS
If another process changes the color entry being edited, the
sliders of cedit do not indicate the correct positions for
          that color index.
