syscheck − Checks the ULTRIX/SQL system configuration for minimum memory, semaphores, and swap space requirements
Syntax
syscheck
Description
The syscheck command displays minimum recommended values for memory, semaphores, and swap space that an ULTRIX/SQL system configuration requires and checks these values against available resources. The command also reports the number of ULTRIX/SQL servers that can be supported with the existing system configuration.
Only the ULTRIX/SQL system administrator can use the syscheck command.
Note
The syscheck command is run automatically when the system administrator invokes the iistartup utility with the −init option. It is also invoked automatically as part of the iibuild command.
Restrictions
When the ULTRIX/SQL system administrator uses the syscheck command, either directly or by invoking the iistartup or iibuild utilities, the system administrator’s username (ingres) must belong to the ULTRIX group kmem.
