intro − Introduction to ULTRIX/SQL commands in Section 8

Description

ULTRIX/SQL is a relational database management system provided with the ULTRIX operating system.  This reference page lists and briefly summarizes ULTRIX/SQL operating system commands used only by the ULTRIX/SQL system administrator and, in some cases, by experienced database administrators. 

accessdb
Authorize access to a database, and modify database locations, extensions, and user authorization.

cscleanup
Deallocate ULTRIX/SQL shared memory and semaphore resources.

csreport
Display shared memory and semaphore information.

iibuild
Initialize and start up ULTRIX/SQL.

iimonitor
Monitor and administer database (DBMS) servers.

iinamu
Monitor and administer the ULTRIX/SQL name server.

iirun
Start up the ULTRIX/SQL recovery or archiver process.

iirungcc
Start up ULTRIX/SQL communications servers.

iirungcn
Start up the ULTRIX/SQL name server.

iishutdown
Shut down an ULTRIX/SQL installation or particular servers.

iistartup
Start up an ULTRIX/SQL installation or particular servers.

lockstat
Display locking information.

logstat
Display logging information.

rcpconfig
Configure or shut down ULTRIX/SQL logging and locking systems.

syscheck
Check ULTRIX system configuration for memory, semaphores, and swap space available to support an ULTRIX/SQL installation.

sysmod
Modify ULTRIX/SQL system tables to predetermined storage structures.

statdump
Print statistics contained in the iistats and iihistograms views, which are part of the standard interface to the ULTRIX/SQL system tables (catalogs).
