LFSRECOV  —  User Commands

NAME

lfsrecov − Roll lfs disk forward after a crash. 

SYNOPSIS

lfsrecov [options] deviceName

OPTIONS

−write fileWrite changes to disk. 

−memAvail kbytes
Kilobytes of memory available to the recovery program.

−statsWrite stats to disk. 

−statDir directory
Directory to put stats from recovery.

Debugging and testing options:

−showLogShow contents of log being processed. 

−verboseOutput progress messages during execution. 

−recreateDirEntries
For testing, recreate any directory from checkpoint.

−testCheckFor testing, check against checkpoint. 
 

DESCRIPTION

Lfsrecov is used during system boot to recover the changes made between the last checkpoint operation and the system crash.  It assumes that the only problem with the file system is that the checkpoint was not the last operation written to the log.
