NAME

PSFONTS − POSTSCRIPT font information for TRANSCRIPT

DESCRIPTION

The following information lists the fonts that are available in TRANSCRIPT.  The fonts are available by full name when using the enscript(1) program, and by short name when using psroff(1) or [di]troff.  The font family refers to the name of the family that the particular font belongs to.  It is used to declare a default set of fonts in psroff(1), ptroff(1), etc.  A number of font families below use the same two characters to specify all four font faces in the family. The alphabetic case is varied to specify an individual face. For example:
Roman: xx,   Bold: xX,   Italic: Xx,   Bold-Italic: XX. Please note that alphabetic case is important in all three of the columns below.  Full nameShort nameFont family

AFM (Adobe Font Metrics) files for use with enscript(1). On System V, the names for the AFM files are abbreviated. There is a correspondence table in the font.map file.
