     xev(1) X Version 11 (1 October 1988) xev(1)

     NAME
xev - prints the contents of X events

     SYNOPSIS
          xev [-options. . .]

     DESCRIPTION
The xev program creates a window and a subwindow and asks
the X server to send it notices called events whenever
anything happens to the window (such as being moved,
resized, typed in, clicked in, etc.). No events are
reported for the subwindow. This program allows you to see
what causes events to occur and displays the information
          that they contain.

     OPTIONS
          -display display
Specifies the X server to contact.

          -geometry geom
Specifies the size and location of the window.
