       nwmp(1M) nwmp(1M)

       NAME
nwmp - starts/stops NetWare UNIX client package burst

       SYNOPSIS
nwmp [start | stop] [burst | noburst]

       DESCRIPTION
nwmp starts (start option) or stops (stop option) the NetWare
UNIX client (NUC) to enable the system to connect to NetWare
servers and, optionally, turns on or off the packet burst
feature. nwmp is started by the S27nuc script in /etc/rc2.d
when the system boots. By default, NUC is started and packet
             burst is on.

The packet burst feature speeds up the reading and writing of
files between the local file system and NetWare file servers.
The burst option enables the packet burst enhancement to all
NetWare servers that support that feature. The noburst turns
             off packet burst.

Any error condition detected during start-up is reported in
the /tmp/nuc.start file. You must be the root user to run
             this command.
