NAME

bootparamd − boot parameter server

SYNOPSIS

/usr/etc/rpc.bootparamd [ −d ]

DESCRIPTION

bootparamd is a server process that provides information to NetBoot clients necessary for booting. It consults the NetInfo database (the /machines directory) if NetInfo is running, and examines the property.  If the client’s information is not found, NIS is consulted if it is running.  Finally, the bootparams file is consulted. 

bootparamd can be invoked either by inetd(8C) or by the user. 

OPTIONS

−d Display the debugging information.

/etc/bootparams - if NetInfo is not running
