  NAME

jbfsck - Checks and repairs optical jukebox file systems

  SYNOPSIS

    /etc/jbfsck -f file-system-table | volume [partition ...]

  DESCRIPTION

The jbfsck command checks, verifies, and interactively repairs
inconsistent conditions for optical file systems located within a jukebox.
The jbfsck command acts as a front end to fsck for optical volumes located
    within a jukebox.

If the -f parameter is specified, a filename must accompany it. The file
must be of the /etc/fstab file format; typically, it is the /etc/fstab
file. The jbfsck only selects jukebox optical file systems. It loads
each volume, performs a fsstat to obtain the file system state, and, if
needed, runs a /etc/fsck -y command on the file system. When the fsck is
    completed, the volume is unloaded.

The partition is not required for optical disk file systems (ODFS).

It is possible to jbfsck multiple file systems on the same volume
simultaneously by supplying multiple partitions after the volume name.
However, jbfsck does not accept multiple volume names.

  EXAMPLES

    1. To check and repair optical jukebox file systems by using a file-
        system-table, key in the following:

        jbfsck -f /etc/fstab

    2. To check a specific volume and multiple partitions, key in the
        following:

        jbfsck jb_vol_name 7.3 7.5 7.6

  FILES

    /etc/fstab The file system table.

  NOTES

The jbfsck command requires superuser privileges.

Do not use the jbfsck utility with a volume that is currently mounted or
running under the Cache File System.

  EXIT VALUES

The jbfsck command exits with a value of 0 if successful. If
unsuccessful, it exits with a nonzero value.
