gridman(1M) DG/UX R4.11MU05 gridman(1M)
NAME
gridman - manage HADA-I subsystems
SYNOPSIS
gridman
DESCRIPTION
Gridman is an interactive menu utility for managing first-generation
High Availability Disk Array subsystems. Only a user with
appropriate privilege can execute the gridman command. It can be
invoked explicitly from the command line, or implicitly from the
sysadm program, via the Device->Disk->Manage HADA-I menu path.
The program contains a complete set of menu-driven procedures for
setting up and maintaining a High Availability Disk Array subsystem.
This includes setting up arrays, mirrors or individual disks,
removing physical units, installing microcode and monitoring
subsystem performance.
For a complete explanation of the gridman program, see the Operating
the High Availability Disk Array Subsystem manual.
NOTES
In order for the user interface to function correctly, the TERM
variable in the user's environment must be properly set. If using X
windows, the window size being used for gridman must be at least 24
lines by 80 columns.
For systems supporting the DG/UX Capability Option, appropriate
privilege is defined as having one or more specific capabilities
enabled in the effective capability set of the user. See
cap_defaults(5) for the default capabilities for this command.
On systems without the DG/UX Capability Option, appropriate privilege
means that your process has an effective UID of root. See the
appropriate_privilege(5) man page for more information.
