     NAME
          svcmgr - AV/ALERT service manager interface

     SYNOPSIS
          svcmgr

     DESCRIPTION
          The svcmgr program provides a simple menu interface to
          AV/ALERT parameters and utilities.  The menu selections
          presented the user are based upon the availability of the
          components of the AV/ALERT total package.  You must be root
          in order to access this program.  This program should only
          be invoked by a Data General Field Service Representative or
          by the system administrator under the guidance of a Data
          General Customer Support Center Representative.

     EXAMPLES
          svcmgr

     FILES
          /var/adm/dgsvcmgr/fe  File used by AV/ALERT components to
                                support earlier model AViiON equipment

     DIAGNOSTICS
          Program will exit with an error message stating problem.
