3. Library Functions

DECEDI_ADD_ITEM_LISTAdds an optional item to the item list. This is used to build up a request, which is then sent using DECEDI_POST, DECEDI_FETCH, or DECEDI_TRACK.
DECEDI_FETCHThis enables the caller to fetch one or more files from the DEC/EDI Server. These files may have come directly from the Communications Service, through the translator, or from the mapper.
DECEDI_FREE_ITEM_LISTenables the caller to free all memory associated with an item list and its associated values.
DECEDI_FREE_TRACK_LISTenables the caller to free all memory associated with a dynamic list of objects returned from a call to DECEDI_TRACK.
DECEDI_POSTThis enables the caller to submit one or more files into the DEC/EDI Server.  These files may be posted directly to the Communications Service, through the Translator or via the Mapper.
DECEDI_TRACKThis enables the caller to track objects within the DEC/EDI Server. It can provide lists of objects that match certain selection criteria, and it can return different types of information for the objects that meet the selection criteria, for example routing information or object status.

8. Maintenance Procedures

decedi_archThe decedi_arch command is a utility that moves DEC/EDI data from the primary on-line archive area to a secondary, and possibly off-line area. The aim of this is to remove data from the on-line system that is no-longer used whilst retaining some or all of it for recovery or auditing purposes.
decedi_dlgThe decedi_dlg command is a utility that will generate data label definitions for DEC/EDI on a user’s behalf.  This utility can create data labels for an entire version of a standard or it can generate data labels specific to a trading partner specific definition of a document within the standard and version. The aim of this utility is to reduce the amount of set up a user has to do when installing versions of a standard into DEC/EDI.
decedi_lookThe decedi_look command prints a human readable form of the DEC/EDI Error Log. The error log contains information logged by the DEC/EDI services indicating the success or failure of their various operations.
decedi_manageDEC/EDI Server Management Functions
decedi_mustThe decedi_must command is a utility for the management of standards definitions in the DEC/EDI database.
decedi_pcvThe decedi_pcv command prints a summary of the contents of the DEC/EDI Profile Cache. This can then be used to verify that the active cache’s contents are correct.
decedi_ps_controlThe decedi_ps_control command prints a summary of the contents of the DEC/EDI TCP/IP Port Server’s control cache. This can then be used to examine what the Port Server thinks it is doing.
decedi_repairThe decedi_repair command is a utility that allows a DEC/EDI Administrator to repair the Live Audit Trail when it becomes inconsistent due to the occurrence of known situations, such as objects that are in an archivable state but haven’t been archived. It also provides the ability to remove ’killer’ objects, from the Live Audit Trail, that continually cause the DEC/EDI Server to crash.
decedi_retrThe decedi_retr command is a utility that moves DEC/EDI data from a secondary, and possibly off-line area to the primary on-line archive area.  The aim of this is to restore data to the on-line system that has previously been archived via the decedi_arch command, so that it can be viewed for auditing purposes or used as the basis of resending some information.
