NAME

checkdba − Check the JOIN IP address lease database for internal consistency

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sbin/checkdba

DESCRIPTION

The checkdba command checks the records that comprise the DHCP IP address lease database for internal consistency and prints inconsistent records to standard out (stdout). If the database is consistent, the exit code is zero, otherwise nonzero.

The database should never normally be in an inconsistent state, but can become so if joind terminates abnormally before it can flush its internal pages to disk. Program errors aside, this can only happen on receipt of a signal that cannot be caught or ignored.
