NC Option to DSEE Commands: -nc Suppresses a command's requests for commentary. Format -nc Description Some DSEE commands, such as reserve and create branch, display edit panes in which you supply information about the operation you're performing. The -nc option suppresses this action. When you issue one of these commands with -nc, the DSEE facility doesn't display an edit pane. In some cases (for example, for reserve and replace), the facility uses "seeded" comments instead, if they are available. Seeded comments consist of the name of the current task along with user comments entered during an earlier operation on the target object. (Note that there are no seeded comments for the create library, create branch, create element, and create system commands.) The -nc option differs from the -nq option by suppressing only edit panes displayed by commands. The -nq option suppresses both edit pane display and requests for yes or no answers. While you can issue any DSEE command with the -nc option, only those commands that, by default, display edit panes are affected by the option.
