 HPVUE2(1) HP VUE 2.01 HPVUE2(1)

 NAME
hpvue2 - start HP VUE 2.01 from a DM pad

 SYNOPSIS
      hpvue2 [-lo]

 DESCRIPTION
hpvue2 is a shell script which starts up the X window system, HP VUE
2.01 and dmtox from a DM pad or startup_dm script.

hpvue2 first checks to see if the system is configured to run HP VUE
2.01. This is accomplished by checking for the existence of the
/etc/daemons/vue file. If this file does not exist, then hpvue2 exits
after issuing an explanatory message. If the system is configured for
HP VUE 2.01, then dmtox, the Xdomain X11 R4 server, and an HP VUE 2.01
      session are started.

If hpvue2 is invoked with the -lo option, the user will be logged out
of the DM when the X session is terminated.

hpvue2 will add /usr/X11/bin to the default system PATH variable and
prevent the user's .kshrc from being invoked. Any aliases or
environment variables desired for the HP VUE 2.01 session may be set
in the user's .vueprofile (see vuelogin(1)).

The hpvue2 script may be invoked manually from a DM pad or it may be
invoked from the $HOME/user_data/startup_dm.xxx script appropriate for
the display device. To start HP VUE 2.01 automatically after logging
in, place one of the following commands in your startup_dm script(s):

      cp -n hpvue2 /bin/ksh /usr/X11/bin/hpvue2

      cp -n hpvue2 /bin/ksh /usr/X11/bin/hpvue2 -lo

      /usr/X11/lib/vue/Vuelogin/Xsession
