XFBS(1) BSD XFBS(1)

NAME
xfbs - select which window is allowed to fast buffer swap

SYNOPSIS
     xfbs [-help] [-toggle] [-on] [-off]

DESCRIPTION
The xfbs program lets you control which windows have fast buffer swap
enabled. On some graphic devices, fast double buffer swapping is
supported on only a limited number of windows. When more than one
application attempts to use GPR's double buffering feature, the
applications will collide, resulting in an incorrect buffer display for
both applications. For those devices, this command allows the user to
select which client uses the fast buffer mechanism.

The user selects the target window with the mouse by moving the cursor to
the desired window and clicking any mouse button.

The Display Manager accepts a similar command: "fbs".

If no options are specified, the default is to enable fast buffer
swapping. Initially, applications have fast buffer swap enabled.

OPTIONS
The various options are as follows:

     -help
Print a usage message and exit.

-on Enable fast buffer swap for the indicated window.

-off Disable fast buffer swap for the indicated window.

     -toggle
Toggle the current state of fast buffer swap for the indicated
          window.
