DMLOCK(1) Domain/OS SysV DMLOCK(1)

NAME
dmlock - lock Display Manager screen

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/apollo/bin/dmlock

DESCRIPTION
The dmlock command hides the display and disables keyboard input until
the correct password is entered. dmlock is intended for use only with
the Apollo Display Manager, and it will execute only when the DM owns the
     root screen.

dmlock displays the name of the account that is currently logged into the
Display Manager and the time that dmlock was invoked. dmlock covers the
rest of the display with a moire pattern, and sets the screen time-out to
30 seconds. The priority of the dmlock process is lowered to minimize
interference with other running processes on the node.

When the correct password for the account displayed on the screen is
entered, dmlock restores the original screen time-out, restores the
original display, releases the keyboard, and terminates.
